Chamfer Tool
The Chamfer tool places a chamfer, or line, between two objects or adjacent sides of an object such as rectangles, polygons, polylines, or line segments. However, a chamfer cannot be placed between parallel lines.
A chamfer can be placed at a specified distance from where the objects intersect. Chamfers can trim or split objects at the chamfer endpoints or extend them to meet at the chamfer endpoints by selecting specific chamfer modes from the Tool bar.
